 Mt Diablo Housing Opportunity Center hosts a housing fair at Diablo Valley College on Saturday Nov 10th 2007

The Mt Diablo Housing Opportunity Center (MtDHOC) is hosting a FREE Housing Resource Fair at Diablo Valley College (DVC) in Pleasant Hill, Ca on Saturday November 10th from 10am - 3pm.  Offical representatives from the Housing Divisions of Concord, Walnut Creek and Contra Costa County will be presenting information on housing programs that are available.  Other vendors representing various aspects of housing will be onsite to help answer questions.  Come join us.  Here is the schedule of speakers:

Contra Costa REALTORS Play Ball to Help Students Pay for College

Contra Costa County REALTORS and affiliates raise over $4,500 to help students pay for college expenses. 

The fourth annual Battle of the Coridor, or "BCIV", is a softball game played between two of the real estate marketing associations in Contra Costa County.  The "North", Contra Costa REALTORS In Motion (CCRIM) battled it out with the "South" Realtors Marketing Association (RMA) to see who would be victorious and bring home the coveted "Bell".  This year's game raised over $6,500 for the CCAR Scholarship Foundation and adds to the perpetual scholarship already funded from the past years games.

In a repeat of last years route the North dominated in a 22-4 victory.  "The CCAR Scholarship is the real winner today." Nate Ellis, Organizer of this year's event said, "Everybody had a great time out there supporting a wonderful cause."  The CCAR Scholarship Foundation awards scholarships to students that have completed at least one year of college and are persuing a career in finance or real estate.  This year the Foundation awarded 15 students over $45,000 in scholarships.

The event was made possible with the generous support of serveral companies including: BWC Mortgage, Peregrine Lending, the ReMod Crew and the premier sponsor First Horizon Home Loans.  Michael Smith with Smit's BBQ Pit provided tri-tips and chicken.  Sierra Nevada sponsored with beverages.

The series is tied at two games each.  Watch for next year's match in August 2008.  It is sure to be a homerun!
